Directions M6 from the South

Leave the M6 at Junction 38 and take the B6260 to Appleby. Keep on main road through Orton towards Appleby (watch out for sheep on road over fell). On entering outskirts of Appleby pass 30mph sign, take the next left at the end of the green signposted Colby, Colby is 1 1/2 miles farther on. On entering Colby the road passes over the beck and bears right through the village past the Village Hall on your right, carry on past a telephone box on your right, The Limes is the next house on your right (watch the bend) immediately after the lane down to Colby Hall. From entering Colby to The Limes the distance is 1/3 mile.

Directions M6 from the North and A66 from the West

Leave M6 junction 40 and take the A66 towards Brough.  Take exit to Appleby and Orton on B6542, left at T junction still following B6542 into Appleby. Follow road into centre of Appleby, take right to town centre B6260 over the river bridge. Follow road through town towards Orton keeping castle wall on left, take 2nd right to Colby. Colby is 1 1/2 miles farther on. On entering Colby the road passes over the beck and bears right through the village past the Village Hall on your right, carry on past a telephone box on your right, The Limes is the next house on your right (watch the bend) immediately after the lane down to Colby Hall. From entering Colby to The Limes the distance is 1/3 mile.

Directions A66 from the East

Take exit to Appleby and Orton B6542.  Follow road into centre of Appleby, take left to town centre B6260 over the river bridge.
