We only stayed one night but will stay again,
as we have family nearby.
Penny is a excellent host and the house was just like home, with no dishes to wash.
Would urge anyone to pay a visit.

Many thanks for looking after both of us so well. A comfortable bed, a lovely warm room and plenty of hot water - all most welcome given the frozen "minus two degrees November Monday morning" when we left. Excellent hospitality and three mornings of absolutely splendid breakfasts. Jill's riding, the grayling that Dave caught on the Eden, the salmon run and seeing that big dog otter were an added bonus of course! We would have no hesitation in recommending staying here.

Mark and l had another wonderful stay at The Limes
having popped up to Cumbria for a family wedding,
Penny and Dave are so welcoming, and the accomodation and breakfast is a real treat, look forward to visiting again asap, Thank you xx

Booked this lovely B&B the night before we actually arrived. Was only a one night stop, just a shame we could not have stayed longer. Had a lovely stay, arrived quite late due to a road closure and Penny still greeted us with Tea and Cakes which was very needed. Would definitely stay again, the breakfast was great especially the black pudding. The views were lovely aswell. Hope to return again. Many Thanks Penny for a wonderfull stay. Debbie and Marc.

We recently stayed for 3 nights at the Limes. Penny welcomed us with tea and flapjacks which we enjoyed. Our room was very clean,quiet and comfortable and the shower was excellent.The breakfasts were exceptional and we enjoyed the wonderful view of sheep and countryside whilst eating!We had a very good meal at a hotel in Appleby, recommended by Penny.Many thanks for a relaxing stay.
