Recently returned from spending a week with Penny, Dave and Sam the dog at The Limes. Wonderful hosts, lovely location, excellent room with a great view, delicious breakfasts. Whether your passing through or wanting to spend some time in Cumbria and the surrounding area we would highly recommend staying at The Limes. Thank you for a wonderful week, hope to visit you again.

We have recently spent a week with Penny and David and had a really enjoyable stay.The accommodation was five star and the breakfast, complete with home made bread was great. We are keen photographers and the area lends perfectly for all types of photography from birds, wildlife and of course stunning landscapes. Suggestions for days out from our hosts was invaluable and we managed to visit the Dales, Pennines, lakes and local gardens during our stay. The Limes is a Gem waiting to be discovered. If you are touring Northern England or just enroute North to South or vise versa, just step off the beaten track and enjoy this haven of peace and tranquility,Lovely comfortable rooms with great facilities and thoughtful attention to every aspect of your accomodation.Wonderful food, locally produced, and beautifully cooked.Fresh Coffee that is pure Nectar You will be truly spoiled! Dave and Penny are lovely caring hosts and Sam the dog is an absoloute delight. Do not miss this lovely oasis of calm to enhance your travel experience.
