I went to the Limes to enjoy some much needed rest and relaxation, it's such a peaceful place in the beautiful Eden Valley. I stayed for two wonderful nights and came away refreshed and happy. Penny is a great host and does a gorgeous breakfast.
I would recommend The Limes to anyone.

We have just had a wonderful three night stay with Penny and Dave at The Limes. Everything was great from the warm welcome to the lovely room, great breakfasts, delicious packed lunch and the variety of birds to entertain us at the feeders. We cannot say enough good things about our stay, and our luck in finding The Limes in the Eden Valley - handy to both the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales.

Wonderful stay at the Limes, over the last 3 days. Penny was a wonderful host, and the outlook was superb, with views over the hills and fields. The breakfasts were very tasty and plenty to eat. We also had a picnic to bring home and homemade cakes. It was a wonderful place to stay so quiet and peaceful and would certainly return again. Thank you.

My third visit to Penny and Dave at The Limes. As always very enjoyable. A warm welcome is assured - guests are treated just like one of the family. Bedrooms spotless with all facilities very high class. The breakfasts are super - quality food well cooked. Packed lunches are available. Views from the property are lovely, as is the very attractive and well kept garden. Definitely 5 stars.

We had a superb overnight stay at The Limes. Penny and Dave made us feel very welcome and we were most impressed with the attention to detail of everything, and the superb scenery and wildlife - including the neighbours Alpaca's! We would have loved to have spent more than one night at The Limes and hope we may be able to visit again in the future. This accommodation is highly recommended - do give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

We had a lovely 2 nights stay at The Limes. We arrived around 4.30 where we were met by Penny who made us both welcome. After showing us to our room she then brought us a welcome tray with tea and flapjack. The breakfast and pack lunch which we ordered the nght before where excellent as was the homemade bread which on the day we left she gave to us to enjoy when we got home. Nothing was too much trouble and the room was wonderful, spotlessly clean with a view to die for from the window. We will be going back in the Summer.

Stayed 2 nights in April 2016. Been to many B&Bs over the years. The Limes must rate as the best.

We stayed overnight, after a hard days walk to high cup nick. We were wading through 2-3 foot of snow in places, but the views were worth it.
The welcome we received at The Lime was warm and homely. Our room was lovely, clean and comfortable. Everything was well thought out, so all you have to do is relax and enjoy your break.
Breakfast was excellent. Probably one of the nicest I've had.
