We had a lovely stay whilst we were walking the Pennine Way. Great welcome from Penny with homemade flapjacks and coffee whilst Penny helped dry us out. Beautiful house in lovely surroundings. Then a great breakfast to set us on our way.Overall a wonderful experience. Thank you.

Mum and I stayed with Penny for two nights while visiting friends. The twin room was spotlessly clean, including everything you need for a night away in a home from home e.g. sewing kit, TV, iron and of course a comfortable bed! Penny is an excellent host - after a long days driving we were met with a smile and a lovely coffee and home made flapjack, which was just what we needed. Penny has an encyclopedic knowledge of the local area and is full of ideas for day trips etc. Last but not least - she served up the best fried breakfast I've ever had from a B&B - great coffee, quality sausages and home made bread - what more could you want. Highly recommended!

We stayed at the Limes for one night for a wedding in nearby King's Meaburn. What a lovely place. We had a very nice stay. The room was great and the cooked breakfast too. Some good walking routes right on the doorstep. Penny was very welcoming and helpful. Would highly recommend.

We just spent two nights at The Limes and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Everything that we could have wished for was available to us and the breakfasts were delicious. Penny and Dave made sure that we were happy and did not hesitate to drive us into nearby Appleby for a meal if we didn't feel like walking........we were doing the Pennine Way so were doing enough of that already!

Penny runs a very comfortable B and B and it seems like nothing was too much trouble. Room with a gorgeous view, great shower, comfy bed and tasty breakfast. We will be back to take advantage of walking from the door.

Just had a great couple of nights at the Limes. Very comfortable bed, spotless bedroom with everything I could ever need, my own bathroom with shower and bath, and, of course, 2 wonderful breakfasts. Nothing was too much for Penny and I'll certainly return as soon as I can.
